USA Travel Advice Regarding Visas:
If you are planning to attend
GECCO and are arriving from outside of the United States
please plan for USA visa requirements. This website has information
about visa requirements:

Speakers and other attendees!
We advise you not to procrastinate about finding out
what procedures you will have to complete. In some cases,
depending on what country you are coming from, there
is little to do. In other cases, the process may be quite
thorough and it might take more than a month simply to
get an appointment to ask for a visa. For example, the
following web site tells you how long you will have to
wait to get an appointment to ask for a visa:
http://travel.state.gov/visa/tempvisitors_wait.php
Please do not hesitate to ask at for
an invitation letter in order to make your case to obtain a visa. These letters
apparently are helpful when you are being interrogated by a consul.
