GECCO 2004 Competitions

Three exciting competitions will take place at GECCO 2004. Each will explore a different area of evolutionary computation:

Tiny GP:
This competition aims to find the best minimal GP implementation
to illustrate how simple and elegant a GP system can be. more info

Learning DFA from noisy data:
This is a classic challenge for machine learning algorithms and
will stretch your evolutionary algorithm to its limit. more info

The challenge here is to evolve an optimal controller for a colony
of self-replicating cells. Divide and conquer!. more info

The closing date for all contests is Friday May 28th 2004.

Please register with the competitions chair if you intend entering any of these - send an email to: sml@essex.ac.uk with the name of the contest as the subject.

The winner of each contest will be presented with a certificate and a $100 cash prize at GECCO.
