How to get to VU University Amsterdam

Please note: There will be construction works this weekend that will cause no trains to run from Schiphol to Amsterdam Zuid (the train station near the VU). Alternatives are available, but could be tricky to handle/understand for tourists/foreigners. My advise: take a cab from Schiphol if you need to go to a hotel near the VU and you plan to go to Zuid station this weekend (taxi is not very cheap here though).

Amsterdam is a modern businees city with a huge amount of available hotels for our attendees, with a variety of prices and commodities. Since this year GECCO is hold in the university premises of VU in Amsterdam (not in a hotel), we are providing a limited booking of rooms in Hotel Crowne Plaza (and in StayOkay for our students):

The Crown Plaza Amsterdam can offer some Club rooms but at a higher price if any attendees are interested. The Club room would be EUR 184.00 per room per night (standard was EUR 139.00)
